The Morgan 41 is the most well known center cockpit in this size ever conceived, with over 1,000 hulls built. Known as a heavy duty, go anywhere center cockpit, "Dadidoc" is of the last generation of the Out Island series, the 416. The 416 is arguably the best performing of all of the Out Island designs and is a ketch rig, with the main mast a double spreader rig.

The vessel name refers to the owners grandfather, who was called Daddy Doc, aka Dr. Benjamin F Barnes II. He was a "poor man's" doctor, never turned anyone away, in the Yonkers, NY area, and often accepted payment in "chickens" or whatever the person had when they did not have cash! He delivered thousands of babies, and served a term or two as the mayor of Yonkers NY. He was everything kind and gentle in a man that one would look for. I am naming the boat after him, much to mine and our extended family's pleasure. I am buying this vessel for immediate and extended family use- the boat will help heal some issues within the extended family. Looking forward to many years of sailing -restarting a tradition we shared for many years that began with my Kathy and Doc Barnes.
